Goto Start -> Enter regedit
To enable CD/DVD drive
Search for the following key
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Back it up (Edit -> Export to your local directory). Delete Lower and Higher Filters
If it doesn't work yet, search for the following key and change the value from 4 to 1
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\cdrom
To enable USB drive
Search for the following key and change the value from 4 to 3
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\USBSTOR
